Slot loading drive. Currently does not support Apple disc burning in OS 9.x. Will burn using Toast in OS 9.x. Apple disc burning is supported in OS 10.2.x, 10.3.x, and 10.4.x.

Requirements for G3 Pismo:
This item must be installed in your existing DVD module housing. The module housing must be intact, but you can replace a non-working DVD drive. Installation is very simple and requires removing only four screws. The faceplate of this drive is not identical to the original DVD drive. This does not impact the operation of the drive.

Requirements for G4 Titanium or Aluminum:
Requires working ribbon cable and bracket from your current combo or super drive for installation. If you currently have a DVD drive you need to purchase a different drive which includes a special mounting bracket.
